Currently MG does not have any built-in search engine, but Praveen Kumar has developed a proposal during his GSOC 2013 project. Some links:

A basic search plugin is also available from github. The plugin is not as full-featured or as polished as the search function described above, but it does provide a quick and easy way to perform basic searches on an instance.
